God wants to transform each of us into a honorable person in His hands to do His marvelous work. To be transformed by the Lord, we need to grow strong in the Lord. She girds
herself with strength, and strengthens her arms (Prov 31:17) We need to be renewing our strength in the Lord. As David strengthened himself in the Lord. Those who wait upon the
Lord shall renew their strength. Waiting upon the Lord is trusting and always confessing the promises of God, during good times and difficult times. When we don’t see the answer
to our prayers, or when we pray for something and negative things happen, still we stay positive confessing that the Lord will fulfill His promise.
When we can strengthen ourselves we can bring encouragement to others. The wise woman builds her house (Prov 14:1). We can encourage and help build other’s confidence when they
need encouragement. Unless we are encouraged we cannot bring hope to others. What we have is what we can give.
when we strengthen ourselves in the Lord and build others, we shall be a crown of glory in the hands of God. Sometimes we doubt our worthiness, when disappointment comes. But
God’s word says “You shall also be a crown of glory In the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem In the hand of your God.” Isaiah 62:3. As we commit our ways to be strengthened
by our Lord and allow God to use us, He transforms the clay, a simple person into a crown of glory and a royal diadem in the hand of God.
God transformed the life of Joni into a crown of glory in His hands. Joni Eareckson Tada is a Christian author, radio host, and founder of Joni and Friends, an organization
“accelerating Christian ministry in the disability community.”
After diving into shallow water as a young girl, Tada was rendered paralyzed (as a quadriplegic; unable to use her hands or legs). After two years of rehabilitation and in a
wheelchair, Tada began working to help others in similar situations.
During her two years of rehabilitation, Tada learned how to paint with a brush between her teeth, and now sells her artwork.
In 2005, Tada was appointed to the Disability Advisory Committee of the U.S. State Department. In 2002 it received the “Radio Program of the Year” award from National Religious
Broadcasters. Tada has received The American Academy of Achievement’s Golden Plate Award; The Courage Award from the Courage Rehabilitation Center; The Award of Excellence from
the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center. In 2003 she was given the Gold Medallion Award for her book When God Weeps. In 2004 she was awarded the Gold Medallion Award for
co-authoring Hymns for a Kid’s Heart, Volume 1. She received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Indiana Wesleyan University and an honorary Doctor of Laws from Biola
University and many more awards.
God can change each of our ordinary lives to be strengthened by God, strengthen others and become a crown of Glory in the hands of God !
